Description
Chionodoxa Blue Giant is a stunning bright blue variety with white at the centre of the flower. Chionodoxa Blue Giant are some of the earliest flowering bulbs and naturalise excellently. Grow in sun or partial shade so they are very versatile.
Cultivation Instructions:
Cultivate soils to a depth of 15cms and plant bulbs as per the growing information below. In heavy soils such as clay add grit or humus matter to help with drainage. In sandy soils add organic matter to help with fertility. They will naturalise really well and spread out to cover a wide area.
Protect early growth in the spring from slugs and snails . Ideal foods are well rotted manures, grass clippings, tomato feed and bone meal.
Care tips:
They will naturalise very well, plant in most soils that are free draining. In heavier soils such as clay cultivate the top layer of soil and add grit and well rotted humus and this should provide the drainage that they need.
