This cosmos as the name suggests has chocolate scented maroon crimson flowers. They are complimented by the unmistakable scent of chocolate and are very hardy in the garden. This variety is definately the most attractive of this genus. Easy to grow, prefers partial shade and will naturalise well. Remember to feed well during the leaf and flowering stage to ensure they grow and bulk up well for subsequent years growth. In cold winters mulch well over winter to protect from the severe frosts.
Aspect: Semi shade to full sun.
Soil type: Soils that are free draining and fertile. In heavier soils add grit and or humus matter.
