Cultivation Instructions
Plant Crocosmia from February on-wards in soils that are free draining and not waterlogged. Cultivate the soil to a depth of 15-20cms and plant corms 10cms deep and 8-10cms apart. In heavy soils add plenty of humus matter and or grit to help with drainage. Prefer full sun but will also perform well in the semi-shaded areas of the garden. Leave undisturbed to naturalise for a number of years in the garden. When they start to get overcrowded dig them up when they are dormant and re-plant corms further apart.
Care tips:
Keep well fed with foods such as rotted manure, tomato feed and bone meal. If possible mulch borders over the winter.
