Description
Dahlia Cut Flower Collection comprises of 1 tuber each of Glorie van Noordwijk, Table Dancer, Wittem, Maxime and Advance.
Dahlias make a spectacular display in any garden. Just protect young shoots from slugs and snails. Best started off indoors from January to March and planted out after the fear of frost has passed. If planting directly into the garden wait until the soil has warmed up and all frosts have passed.
There are 42 species of dahlia with hybrids commonly grown as garden plants.
Flower forms are variable with one head per stem. These can be as small as 5 cm or up to 30 cm (which are known as dinner plate varieties)
Protect young shoots from slugs and snails when they first start to shoot.
Our Dahlia Cut Flower collection provides a wonderful selection of colours to use in floral displays.
Tip: Store in a cool, dry and frost free location if planting later in the garden.
Aspect: Semi shade to full sun, better in the warmer parts of the garden.
Soil type: Happy in all types of soil that are free draining.
Alternatively plant direct into the garden when the soil has warmed up and all frosts have passed.
