Erythronium tuolomnense is a bulbous perennial with bright yellow flowers. They make a superb addition to shady woodland areas in your garden and if happy will naturalise very well. This variety will grow to approximately. 8 inches in height.
Erythronium tuolomnense have paired, ovate or broadly elliptic leaves, and leafless stems bearing one or more nodding, star-shaped flowers with recurved petals. Erythronium are wonderfully elegant with their slender, upright stems which each carry multiple blooms with exotic-looking reflexed petals. They also have attractive foliage too, some with striking mottled markings. In addition they extend the season of interest and ground cover right through to summer.
Before planting cultivate the soil to a depth of 4-6 inches deep. Ensure soils are well drained and do not dry out in the summer. Plant immediately on arrival approximately 4-5 inches deep in a good well drained soil.
