Description
Paeony Francoise Ortegat has wonderful vibrantly coloured flowers of gorgeous deep cerise pink.
Peonies are very remarkably as they are pest and disease resistant plants. Great features in cottage gardens or herbaceous borders as the foliage remains green for a long period of time.
Cultivation instruction
Plant outside: Soils should be cultivated to a depth of 20cms to allow good root development. Before planting, prepare the area by digging in well rotted compost and grit in heavier soils. Plant crowns approx 5cm below the surface of the soil and avoid using any high content nitrogen fertilisers on them during the growing season. Peonies are also remarkably pest and disease resistant plants. A great feature in cottage gardens or herbaceous borders as the foliage remains green for a long period of time. Regularly feed during the growing season with foods such as are well rotted manures, tomato feed and bone meal will provide food for continued flowering.
