The RHS awarded this tulip a garden merit (AGM) due to its superb performance in garden trials, proving it is ideal for any garden. Tulips need to be planted in semi shade to full sun in soils that are free draining and recently cultivated. Plant in groups of 7 or more for the best effect and plant 10-15cms deep and 8cms apart. When planting in containers planting distance can be reduced to 5cms. Although most planting advise says to plant tulips in October we feel that if you cannot achieve this then earlier or later will not really effect performance.
Aspect: Semi shade top full sun
Soil type: All free draining soils, in heavier soils add grit or well rotted humus to help with drainage
