Tulip Triumph Slawa

Description

Tulip Triumph Slawa is purplish red edged pink and is a stunning combination of colours.

Cultivation:

Triumph tulips such as Tulip Triumph Slawa are a popular group of tulips due to their extensive range of colours. Tulips will make a stunning show when planted in groups of 10 or more. Ideal for bedding schemes and perfect for formal plantings in stately homes which open to the public.

Loosen the soil to a depth of 20cm and is free draining. In heavier soils the addition of grit and rotted humus material provides extra drainage. Plant tulips with the pointed bit upwards at a depth of 15cms and 10cms apart.

Protect early growth in the spring from slugs and snails and remove dead heads after flowering to get the best from them.  Ideal foods are well rotted manures, tomato feed and bone meal.

Care tips:

Best to plant tulips when the ground starts to cool down which is often in November. However although planting earlier or later will not effect performance. Tulips do benefit from using bulb starter when first planting.
