Description
This collection of martagon lilies is ideal as a gift for garden lovers or of course a superb addition to your own garden. Specie lilies such as martagon take a little longer to establish but are an excellent garden plant and a very popular lily. We supply some of the biggest bulbs you can get and they will spring into life, establishing quickly. Lilies can be left undisturbed for years and only need to be moved when they become overcrowded.
This collection has 1 each of 6 different varieties of our choice. All individually named.
Growing Instructions
Plant in well drained soil that has been cultivated to a depth of 20cms if possible plant 10-15cms deep and 10cms apart. They prefer the shadier areas of the garden and at the edges of wooded areas. If planting in heavy soils just add a handful of grit to the hole to help with drainage. Feed when flowering with bone-meal or similar. Once established they will naturalise well in the shady parts of the garden in good humus rich soil.

Flowering height: 3-5 feet (90-150cms)
Aspect: Semi shade to full sun. Happy in the colder parts of the garden.
Soil type: Free draining soils that are humus rich and do not get waterlogged.
Pests. If Lily beetle is a problem either spray with an appropriate insecticide. Alternatively pick off the orange adults and check the underneath of the leaves for larvae
